Here are the things you need to know about hot room acclimation and the benefits of high-temp health practices.
IT’S GETTING HOT IN HERE
Health and wellness are always our motivators. Since exercising in heat makes you less prone to injury, we’ve designed our state-of-the-art hot room to be the ideal space to safely practice therapeutic yoga. You’ll experience a deeper stretch and richer detoxification. The heat increases your heart rate, even while at rest. It makes your blood flow slightly thinner, improving your overall circulatory system.
In our temperature-controlled hot room, pure air is circulated. Breathe easy knowing our CO2 levels are optimally set and controlled, so your oxygen content is higher than is typical outdoors.
BUT FIRST… ACCLIMATE
Can’t take the heat? No need to get out of this kitchen. In fact, we encourage students to set a goal to stay in the hot room for the entirety of the class. Of course, this doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed to step out as needed. We know it takes time for the body to climatize. We’re here to offer support and remind you not to play the comparison game. The person next to you likely has more hot room experience. Go at your own pace and stay focused on YOUR progress.
